An elected Jubilee MP in Nyamira County has faulted Siaya County senator James Orengo for his firm stand that ODM party Raila Odinga will be on the ballot in 2022.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko urged Orengo to stop misleading other ODM politicians because Raila is old enough to join Former Presidents Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki to enjoy their retirement.
“It is worrying that Orengo who claims to be a senior legal counsel is the same person misleading Raila. It is time Orengo should give NASA leader a break so that he can enjoy his old age in peace. Kenyans won’t vote for Raila even if he vies 100 times for presidency,” he said.
The lawmaker regretted that junior ODM politicians are being misused by old leaders instead of them championing to clinch top seats in the country.
“Opposition outfit has good leaders especially in ODM who should vie for presidency and no Raila. Opposition will still lose the country’s top seat in 2022 if Raila will not accept to retire,” he added.
Nyamoko assured that his constituents will vote for a Jubilee candidate to become the next president in 2022.
