A section of youths in Kibera have thanked the area MP Ken Okoth for organising a mentorship programme to equip them with job hunting skills.
The programme which ended on Tuesday brought more than 100 youths together and helped them to network and also gain vital tips in life after college.
Evans Omondi Odero expressed his gratitude to the MP saying Kibra is one of the few constituencies where a leader who freely interacts with his electorate.
"This workshop has helped me not only to acquire skills that I did not have but also to interact with my MP. I can say that it is only in Kibera where I have seen such programmes," said Odero.
Job Omondi also said the workshop has helped him know how to build his confidence.
"I was a very shy person and sometimes panicked when being interviewed hence missing out on the job. I have now know my mistake and I am working hard never to repeat the mistakes. The workshop has been of great importance to us," he said.
Celestine Apiyo also said she is now well equipped for task ahead.
"I now know how to write a good CV and cover letter that can market me," she said.
They urged the MP to organise more forums.
