A section of residents has regretted voting her into office.

The residents led by Rebekah Monto said the MP should come out and outline the agenda she has for the people of Kisii County.

"It is painful to vote for someone to end up going missing. We are urging her to come out and tell us the plans she has for us after we overwhelmingly voted for her during the past elections," she said.

Monto said women, youths and disabled persons need to be empowered using the affirmative action funds but the MP is quiet.

"Youths, women and disabled need funds to start small businesses to boost livelihoods. Ong'era should come and tell Kisii county residents on how the money will be disbursed to beneficiaries," she added.

Cyrus Ondanya, another resident said they are regretting voting for a party instead of a leader.

"We voted for ODM party and not a leader. Residents messed up but with time if the women rep does not show up, we will protest and demand her resignation from office," he said.
