Marwa claims that the lawmaker has held several meetings with young men, whom he did not disclose their number, with the aim of plotting chaos at the Station. Marwa was speaking during a press briefing on Monday in Mombasa.
“We have received reports that Badi has been meeting young men in Miritini who are planning to cause chaos at the SGR station in Miritini,” Marwa said, as quoted by Baraka FM.
The regional coordinator, who is known for his firm stand in matters of security added: “We would like to warn him that the long arm of the law will catch up with him.”
The regional coordinator also assured the residents of the region that the government is committed to ensuring free and fair polls come August. The MP could not be reached to shed more light over the matter.
The accusations against the MP come after President Uhuru said that the government will instill a heavy penalty for those who will be found guilty of vandalizing the project.
