Kiambu Sub County will have a reason to smile after area Member of Parliament Jude Njomo officially opened a new secondary school that will benefit the people of Ting’ang’a region and Kiambu County as well.
Ting’ang’a Mixed Day Public Secondary School which has enrolled 162 students is said to be fully funded by the constituency Development Fund according to the MP.
The area has been without a public secondary school and the residents had raised concern over their children schooling in different counties thus parents cannot monitor their education effectively.
According to Njomo, the school will enroll students from the Kiambu Sub County with a minimum of 320 marks to enable high competitions with other public school in not only Kiambu County but the entire nation.
He said that mostly the students will be coming from Ting’ang’a ward to help benefit the region which has been recording poor results in high school.
The legislator said that his main objective is to support education at various clusters and he will stop at nothing to make sure the education of Kiambu is ranked among the best in the country.
Njomo lauded Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a for supporting education in her constituency citing the recent opening of Thika Girls School and disbursing of Thika Education Trust Fund.
The law maker advocated Kiambu leaders from the governor down to the MCAs to support education since the Kenya we want is moving towards vision 2030 and education is fundamental in achieving the state dream.
He promised to sponsor any bright student in his constituency just to better education of the children who are willing to learn.
