Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir has objected to the presidents call to use the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to conduct the Jubilee party nominations.
The MP termed the move as a breach of law, saying IEBC's mandate is to conduct national elections and not party exercises.
The legislature cautioned against the move, citing early rigging plans if the electoral body was allowed to start going to bed with parties.
He claimed Jubilee was enticing the commissioners early for a major political use in 2017.
“As a nation we can not allow one party to be using the country's resources in their own issues. Let them clean their mess as a house and as Cord we shall do the same and then we shall meet on a level play ground with IEBC as the center referee,” said Nassir.
