Outspoken Kilifi Women Representative Aisha Jumwa has been instructed to apologise to Jubilee for singing a funeral song at a campaign rally last week.

Malindi MP Aspirant Philip Charo (Jubilee Party) claimed the fire spitting Jumwa directed the song to Jubilee which, she had earlier on said would dismally perform during the August poll in the county.According to Charo, Jumwa, while addressing a rally at Rabai when NASA leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka campaigned in the area sung the song mostly sung during burial ceremonies.“This is disrespect of the highest order,” Charo said on Saturday.“Now she thinks by singing funeral songs she will undermine Jubilee in Kilifi. These are clear indications that they (NASA) have sensed defeat. Aisha should apologise to Jubilee.”Jumwa is among politicians in Kilifi and in extension Coast vigorously campaigning for Raila and NASA in the region.Just like Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, she has been critical of the Jubilee administration which she says condones corruption, promotes tribalism and has failed to cushion Kenyans from the skyrocketing cost of living.Last year, she was among the famous Pangani seven- a group of politicians arrested and detained for hate mongering.Others arrested included Ferdinand Waititu (Kabete), Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati) Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba) and Busia women rep Florence Mutua.During the Rabai rally, Jumwa led opposition supporters in singing the song mostly sung when a coffin bearing a body is lowered into the grave.Charo said contrary to opposition claims that Jubilee has no support in Kilifi, the ruling party enjoys massive support in the county. He said Jubilee Party aspirants will clinch several elective seats after August 8.
