Outa said he was concerned with the officers' presence who surrounded his home before leaving without any word to his night guards.

The MP was accompanied to the police station by his supporters including some MCAs among them; Prisca Misachi of Shauri Moyo ward and Charles Aguko of Kabonyo Kanyagwal ward.

Speaking to the press after recording a statement, the MP said he has a right to be told what the officers wanted at his home.

“I am at the station to lodge a formal complaint with the police over the presence of heavily armed officers at my gate over the weekend,” he said.

Outa said he fears for his life and wants the police to investigate the matter.

He further noted that he will not be cowed in taking a stand with the Cord Principals in demanding that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is disbanded.

The MP said as a representative of the people, he must be in the forefront to fight for the desired change for his people.

“These things might be done to silence me, to intimidate me. But as long as I am the representative of the people, I will continue talking about the ills in the country,” he said.

The station deputy OCPD Elizabeth Too promised that they will investigate the claims by the legislator after he recorded a statement.

“Let the legislator records a stamen thereafter we take it up for investigations to know what transpired,” she said.
