Bonchari MP John Oyioka has urged Kisii County Governor James Ongwae not to sideline Kisii South Sub County when initiating and launching development projects.
According to the lawmaker, Kisii South Sub County voted 99 percent for Ongwae during the last year’s polls.
“The electorates in Kisii South Sub County voted for Governor James Ongwae overwhelmingly. I wish to challenge the ODM governor to consider launching several projects in the region to improve the lives of the people,” he said.
The lawmaker stated that Ongwae should also consider giving out more top county posts to residents of Bonchari.
“We have professionals in Kisii South Sub County who have all the requirements to work at the County’s top posts. Ongwae should give more job opportunities to the people of Bonchari who campaigned tirelessly for him to ensure he won the polls against his opponents,” said Oyioka.
He reiterated that throughout his tenure he will work with the Kisii County government leaders for the sake of bringing development to Bonchari.
Oyioka said Ongwae is free to tour Bonchari constituency any time of his own to tell the people of Bonchari what he has in store.
