The lawmaker lamented that there is poor growth in the region because locals have gone too far areas to invest there and set up big businesses.

“I am calling on strong business people from the region to come back and set up big businesses in the area so that we can have other foreign investors coming to invest in the constituency. We should start developing home before we go too far areas to invest,” he said.

Nyamoko challenged police officers to beef up security to protect the small businesses coming up in the area so that locals and foreigners can set up businesses in the region.

“I have come to realize that some people who have prospered in business went to invest outside due to fear of their business security and I am calling on Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru to ensure police officers attached to all police posts in the region are fit without questionable integrity to improve the security sector in the constituency for my people and outsiders to feel free and set up businesses without fearing for their security and that of their businesses,” he said.

He assured that throughout his tenure he will ensure all roads are passable for traders to ferry their products to various markets to boost their income earnings.
