The Ford Kenya party legislator said most accidents occur due to careless driving.

“We have lost many lives through accidents in our roads due to careless driving. So as to reduce the numbers of accidents, drivers should adhere to the set road rules and ensure they drive at recommended speeds on our roads,” he said.

Kemosi called on the drivers to take their vehicles to garages for maintenance and repair to prevent unnecessary accidents caused due to poor vehicle maintenance and repair.

He said there is need for the drivers to undergo fresh training.

“Old and new drivers in the transport sector should undergo a fresh training properly for the purpose of equipping themselves with modern driving skills to curb road carnage,” he said.

Kemosi was speaking on Thursday during a massive church service at Nyamira Primary school grounds for the 9 Nyamira residents who died following a tragic road accident in Narok last week.
