This, he said, is the best way of nurturing an informed and enlightened young generation which will make great decisions in future.

Speaking after touring the college on Wednesday, Macharia called on the residents to offer any help required to ensure it attains  the required standards.

"To us (the people of Molo), this is like a new born child to a woman who had remained barren for many years. Let us not just celebrate its inception but be ready to support it because of the benefit of our future generations," he said.

The youthful leader has entered into books of history as being the first ever sitting MP to oversee the establishment of an institution of tertiary education in the constituency, something he was quick to note.

"This is the first ever diploma college in Molo since independence and being constructed under my administration is a key milestone as far as fulfilling my campaign pledges is concerned," he asserted.

The official launch is slated for late May, with officials from the county, national government and Higher Education ministry expected to attend.
