Muhoroni MP Onyango Koyoo has pledged to build Nyang Primary School whose condition is deplorable.
Koyoo says he has not been able to support the school through CDF since it has not been registered by the Ministry of Education.
He noted that the school was started as a nursery by the former area MP Ayiecho Olweny, but was not developed further.
He alleged that the school was started to attract political leaning and public funds were allocated in the past for its improvement but was misappropriated.
Koyoo promised to ensure that the school is registered by Ministry of Education to make it benefit from CDF Funds to elevate it to the required standards just as other primary schools in the area.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu, Koyoo said that he has managed to improve educational infrastructure in the constituency and promises to do more.
Koyoo maintained that he has no political bias in allocating public funds to develop schools pointing out that he is ready to work for the people of Muhoroni.
He further noted that he has clear measures to ensure that public funds like CDF and Bursary Funds are effectively distributed in a more transparent way.
Koyoo has in the recent past put on notice CDF staff in his constituency that anybody who will be found embezzling public resources will be prosecuted.
