Kitui South MP Rachael Kaki has launched a scathing attack on Governor Charity Ngilu, terming her a non-performer.
According to the lawmaker, Ngilu has nothing to offer to Kitui residents.
He was speaking at Kitui multipurpose hall after a meeting attended by various personalities who pledged support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto ahead of the fresh polls.
Former Senator David Musila, Chairman of Mumias Sugar Company Ngumbau Mulwa, Turkey Ambassador Kiema Kilonzo and Foreign affairs Principal secretary Monica Juma were among those who attended the meeting.
“What can Ngilu show in terms of development during her long tenure in government as Cabinet Minister to belittle President Uhuru Kenyatta even after incorporating her in his government after she lost senatorial seat in 2013?” she said, as quoted by MediamaxNetwork.
On his part, Musila called upon the Kamba nation to rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta for the sake of development.
“We cannot afford to be outside the government for another five years, so the logical thing to do is to support the winning team and be assured of development,” Mr Musila said, as quoted by Nation.
