Led by youth leader Timothy Omariba, the residents on Monday praised the MP for his dedication and commitment, especially in infrastructure and education.

They asked the lawmaker’s critics to join hands in developing Kitutu Masaba instead of 'engaging in endless politicking' that has allegedly jeopardised developmental activities in the area.

“For a long time we have been kept waiting by previous leaders and at last our MP has heard our cries. This road is essential for transit of goods to Gesima market and that is why we have thrown our weight behind our MP,” Omariba said.

“Time has come for all area leaders to amalgamate for the sake of development instead of engaging in blame games and unconstructive politics. They have to help him (Mr Bosire) to develop the region for progressive development,” he said.

The ODM youth leader from the constituency, however, asked contractors to expedite the process due to ongoing rains in the region.

“We will not allow any slow construction process because we are aware that the MP released funds for the same process. Weather conditions here are bad due to constant rains and this might affect a lot of activities if the road is not worked on expeditiously,” he said.
