The MP said that the move was wise as currently, they are waiting for the senate under the Justice and Legal affairs committee being led by Amos Wako to ensure that they streamline the laws to fit each Kenyan.

Speaking at the CDF offices in Kisii central ward on Sunday the MP said that the planned street protests have always turned chaotic above all some have even lost their lives in the process.

“We want to ensure that the process is as peaceful as possible so that we can get an agreement instead of going to the street as planned by CORD,” he added.

The MP said that the electoral laws that were passed by the National assembly can be changed by the senate committee.

This comes barely two weeks after the National assembly passed a law to allow the IEBC to opt for the manual voting system once the electronic machine fails, a move that was challenged by the opposition.
