North Mugurango MP Charles Geni insists that he will retain his parliamentary seat despite stiff opposition from a section of politicians.
The outspoken lawmaker is facing stiff challenge from Nyamira County Assembly Speaker Joash Nyamoko, former MP Winfred Ombui among many other aspirants.
But on Monday during a funeral ceremony, the first term MP said he was optimistic of recapturing his seat based on his transformative agenda.
“I know some people have been moving around trying to sabotage my development initiatives. I thank locals for standing witch me all the time,” he said.
“I am sure of winning given the kind of development we have done. For now, I am focused to ensure proper education, healthcare and infrastructure to our people, “he said.
He also dismissed social media claims that he has been using CDF funds to bribe voters ahead of 2017 polls.
