Kesses Member of Parliament Dr. Swarup Mishra has reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every school in his constituency is digitalized.
Mishra says he has a plan to provide every school with Wi-Fi noting that this will ensure students get a quality education.
The first-time MP further the move will help fasten research and improve education as well as allow students to get to abreast to what is going on around and about them.
“As I said during the electioneering period, I will keep my word by ensuring that all schools are equipped with Wi-Fi, computers, and screens,” said Mishra after disbursing cheques meant for infrastructure to principals of schools in his constituency, Sunday.
“My leadership is determined to change the face of our education and learning institutions in the near future by ensuring that our students get quality and not quantity education which will help them in future,” he added.
The schools that benefited with funds to improve infrastructure include Sosiani primary which received Sh700,000, Oasis primary (Sh400,000) and Racecourse primary school was given Sh300,000.
The Kesses MP called upon the Teachers Services Commission to deploy more teachers in the constituency since the current number is a drop in the ocean compared to the increasing number of students.
