Bobasi constituency MP Stephen Manoti has promised to build more roads in the area to ease transportation.
Speaking at Itumbe, Sameta sub-county on Monday, Manoti also said that he will build a motorcycle shade to enable motorcyclists to operate without any problem, especially during the rain season.
The MP further added that he is set to construct a market place where business vendors would operate from since there is none currently.
“I am planning to set aside funds to improve market centres like Igare, Itumbe, Nyamache and Nyacheki, and also to maintain the highest level of cleanliness,” said Manoti.
The chairman of motorcyclists in the area Andrew Onchieku urged the MP to keep the promises he made to them and ease their operation.
“I request you on behalf of the whole group here to talk with the county government to unlock the toilets which are meant for public use,” said Onchieku.
He further noted that the toilets were built by the CDF funds but now they county government has taken control of them making it hectic for the residents to use.
Area residents also complained of lack of enough water in Itumbe market, requesting the legislator to finish up the water projects that have long stalled.
Manoti called for patience from the areas residents, saying he has good plans for the entire constituency and will implement them with time.
