Bobasi Member of Parliament Stephen Manoti has said funds have been set aside for the construction of a 72Km road network across Bobasi constituency.

"The government has also allocated Sh100 million for establishment of a Technical Training Institute at Orogae and I thank the residents for availing the land on which the construction shall take place," Manoti said while addressing mourners at Nyamache stadium during a funeral on Friday.

The MP assured the public of his commitment to bring development in Bobasi and asked politicians to unite for the common good of the people.

He challenged Teachers to strongly demand for their salaries rather than plunging themselves into 2017 politics as they risk getting into the hands of desperate political onlookers.

He urged Bobasi people to remain united and emulate the teachers' unity and thanked them for their turn up to condole the family of Mr David Ogega, Mwalimu Sacco chairman who lost his father mzee Andrew Nyang'au Okari and ensuring he got a heroic send off.
