Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut has pledged to ensure his constituents have easy access to clean water. The first time MP promised that every household in the constituency will be connected to pipped water. This, Chepkut said, will help reduce risks of the locals being infected with water borne diseases."In my blueprint during the electioneering period, I promised to ensure adequate provision of clean water to everyone. I wish to state that l have already engaged the relevant stakeholders and l will ensure that this project will be complete within the shortest time possible," said the MP in Eldoret town on Saturday."I want to ensure that no woman walks for long distance looking for water, they will use tapped water. I will work with both the National and County government to ensure that the project is successful," he added. On political issues, the Jubilee allied MP urged Kenyans to maintain peace and shun 'self-centred' opposition leaders whom he said were only interested in causing violence."Politics is now gone, let's concentrate on building the country since we cannot stay in politics for the rest of our lives," Chepkut said.
