Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi, on Tuesday afternoon asked his constituents to back him up for the sake of development.

Speaking minutes after the Kisii High Court upheld his win following the August 8, 2017 elections the Deputy leader of majority said that he was ready to also work with those who were opposed to his leadership. 

"After the court ruling that proved that I won fairly, I ask my opponents to join me for the sake of leadership," he said. 

He said that he will push for more development projects in his constituency in the next five years.

"With my current position in the National Assembly, I will ensure that Kisii County reaps the fruits of being in Government," he said. 

Mr Agwenyi, also asked other leaders in the constituency to shun divisive politics and work together for the sake of development. 

Mr Angwenyi's win was challenged im court by his opponent Robert Monda.
