Juja Mp Francis Munyua has told head teachers in his area whose schools do not perform well he will not tolerate work without results.
The legislator said he is working closely with the Ministry of Education to ensure that the schools are fully equipped with all the facilities so as they can offer quality education to the children in the area.
Speaking when he met the head teachers on Saturday, the lawmaker said he is saddened by the results that the schools have been producing despite having been topping in Thika West district in the past.
"I am dedicated to investing in education in Juja as it is the only weapon to deliver the residents from the state of poverty they have been in for ages," said Munyua.
According to the head teachers, the schools have been affected by the sale and brewing of illicit brews near the schools. They said most parents in the area had turned to drinking thus abandoning their responsibilities.
Mirimaini Primary school head teacher Mr Charles Kagumo lauded the efforts by the MP in the fight against brewing and consumption of the brews in the area saying that it has reduced noise in the school compounds during learning hours as well as given parents time to focus on their children's work.
The MP vowed to continue sponsoring the best candidates each year as he has been doing since he was elected.
