The lawmaker stated that there has been low enrollment of students at the facility due to lack of learning materials and equipments.

“Enrollment of students at Kirwanda Youth Polytechnic has been low in the past few years because the facility lacks learning equipments for learners and tutors to use.

"I will allocate more CDF to ensure learning equipment are purchased to ensure more students are enrolled at the facility to get skills in various courses which will enable them earn a living,” he said.

He called on parents whose children fails to attain grades to join colleges and universities to ensure there children are enrolled at the facility to get skills in carpentry, welding, mechanics among other courses which will boost their living standards in future.

Oyioka faulted former Bonchari MP John Opore for failing to equip the institution with learning equipments and materials.

“Low enrollment of students in the institution should be blamed on Opore because during his 15 years in office, he did nothing to boost the enrollment of students at the school. Opore was only interested in embezzlement of CDF funds meant for development,” he added.
