Gilgil Constituency MP Mathenge Nderitu has urged the area residents to look at his good track record, instead of continuous criticism against him.
Nderitu, who was speaking on Monday during a burial ceremony in Langalanga, Murindati Ward assured the locals that the road which connects the area and Gilgil town will be completed by the end of next month.
“Quite a good number of people have been criticising me because of this road. At least now you have a passable road unlike before whereby it could not be used at all. Kindly, I asked for this job and I assure you that I am going to do it with all my efforts, just give me time to do it,” said Mathenge.
Nderitu further promised the residents that he will ensure that the ward has street lights, and also the drainage system will be put in place.
“I know I have come for burial but I want to give you some promises, the street lights project will be launched here, and also the drainage system will be done within the next two months. Let us all support the national government and also correct me whenever I go wrong,” added Nderitu.
Area MCA Monica Gitau echoed the MP’s sentiments, saying the County Government will ensure that all the stalled projects in the area are completed.
“There is a number of projects in this ward that have stalled and I want to assure you that once the Supplementary budget goes through in the county assembly, all the projects will resume and I will personally ensure that,” said Gitau.
