Gilgil MP Martha Wangari has pledged to end water crisis in the area.

According to the lawmaker, over 70 percent of residents don’t have access to clean water for consumption.

The MP said she will engage relevant authorities to help address the problem.

“I am going to push county and national governments to set aside funds for sinking of boreholes in the area. Residents will not continue suffering water shortages each and every time,” she said.

“Pipe work should be completed in areas affected for residents to have enough water supply,” added the MP.

She was speaking on Thursday evening when she toured the constituency.
