Thika Town MP Engineer Patrick Wainaina has dismissed the much publicity NASA leader Raila Odinga's swearing-in slated for December 12, 2017.

Wainaina argues that Raila's swearing-in will not prevent president Uhuru Kenyatta's government from discharging its duties to Kenyans.

Speaking to journalists at Thika Town on Wednesday, the Jubilee MP said that Uhuru Kenyatta's government has the instruments of power and that his presidency is protected by the constitution.

The MP said that Raila is engaging in cheap Public Relations to gain sympathy after being humiliated in the recently concluded presidential election.

Wainaina stated that Jubilee is not scared of Raila saying that the law is clear on people who contravene the constitution

He warned Raila against pushing for things that will land him in trouble.

"It is unfortunate that the former prime minister has decided to embarrass and tarnish his image by advocating for unconstitutional means to get to power," he said.

Wainaina urged Kenyans to remain firm and defend the constitution from people who he said want to reap it apart.

Raila's planned swearing continues to elicit reactions with the government warning against the event.

Raila maintains that he does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta's government and that his people's assembly will swear him in on December 12, 2017.

The former PM sent out invites for the planned swearing-in last week with the venue remaining top secret.

It has however emerged that NASA has written to 15 counties that have already passed the people's assembly seeking a venue for Raila's big and controversial event.

Junet Mohamed has refuted this saying the letters were done by Jubilee to tarnish NASA.
