Mrs. Momanyi said police should move with speed to ensure any adult found having sex with underage girls and school going girls are arrested and prosecuted.

"I am not going to sit and watch adults ruining the future of small girls in the county. Police must cooperate with local chiefs and Nyumba Kumi officials to ensure adults especially boda boda riders who are luring small girls with money to have sex with them are arrested and prosecuted," she noted.

She warned parents against allowing small girls to engage in sex and be married at tender ages after dropping school.

"Chiefs must take action against parents who will allow their small girls to get married to old men after dropping school. It is time all parents should ensure the girl child is taken to school to get proper education so that we can have many women joining politics and other big jobs in the future," she said.

Jerusha urged women, youths and disabled to form groups so that they can be allocated Affirmative funds to start small businesses to boost their living standards.
