According to the legislator, the delay will see the projects that have already been initiated by the kitty delay to kick off.

Speaking when he visited the ongoing construction of Kiogoro Secondary Lab on Tuesday the legislator criticised a court ruling that recently barred the treasury Cabinet secretary from releasing the funds.

“The funds are not going to our pockets but are meant to ensure that the local development is done and the needy gets some boost in paying school fees,” he added.

The legislator called upon the governor to ensure they are accountable for the current funds before calling for additional funds.

“The governors are fighting the Members of parliament over the funds and I want to tell them to ensure they utilise the ones they have been allocated before coming to other funds,” he added.

This comes barely a day after Justice Joseph Onguto gave temporary orders that stopped the National treasury from releasing any funds to the constituencies.
