"The nation can never be entrusted to individuals who turn brutal," this was the message Nakuru woman rep Mary Mbugua had on Tuesday to university students and youths who kill their partners out of relationship disagreements.
Mbugua in her official Facebook page, noted that there had been an unprecedented rise in cases of campus students killing each other over love related matters, and called on leaders and parents to be careful on how they resolve issues among themselves saying their approach definitely impacts on the way the youths resolve theirs.
"Talking of deadly campus romance, I wish to call upon leaders and parents to be careful when resolving issues because youth copy behaviour from parents and people around them," she noted.
She also advised the youth to be responsible and take care of each other as they are leaders of tomorrow.
Cases of varsity students killing their lovers have risen in the country since the beginning of the year, the latest being that of Moi University in which a first year male student killed his fourth year counterpart over a girlfriend.
