Kisumu West Member of Parliament Hon Olago Aluoch on Thursday came out to clear the air on a rumour going round that he had abandoned Ford-K, a party whose ticket he used to vie for his parliamentary seat in 2013.

According to Aluoch, he is still a staunch Ford-K Party member and he has not changed his mind at all.

"I have not abandoned Ford-K. I am still a party member and I will stay in the party till 90 days to elections where I will decide what to do next," said the legislator.

He said that working closely with colleagues from ODM did not mean that he had left Ford- K.

"I have been in this party since 2013. I consider colleagues from ODM as brothers and sisters and we work closely together. This is why when there was a big rally at Kirembe Grounds in Kisumu West I accompanied them but that does not mean I am a member of ODM," he insisted.

He reminded those who were propagating the rumor that there are laid down procedures that one must follow before he moves from one party to another.

"If that time to change my mind comes I will do so. But for now if I declare to have left Ford-K then am likely to be told to 'show cause why' in the same manner my colleagues that recently left ODM to Jubilee were put to task to explain why they had crossed over, a thing that am not ready for now," he added.

He made these remarks at his home in Kisumu where the burial preparations for his daughter Joy Atieno, who passed on in a road accident in Nairobi, are ongoing.
