Nyali Member of Parliament Hezron Awiti has accused Wiper Democratic Movement Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka of being behind his recent woes.
Awiti said Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar was handed a direct Wiper ticket to contest for the governor seat without any agreement.
The MP, who recently formed the Vibrant Democratic Party, claimed that a meeting of 600 delegates to elect who between him and Omar, would represent Wiper in the Mombasa gubernatorial race, was cancelled at the last minute without any proper explanation.
"We held talks for several hours before the agreement was reached. But when it came to holding the delegates' meeting, Kalonzo betrayed me,” Awiti said on Tuesday.

He said Kalonzo had promised him free and fair nominations, but that never happened.
“When I asked what the problem was, I was told we were going to negotiate. Later, Omar was endorsed by some people and I said enough is enough and walked out,” he said.
Awiti said that Senator Omar had agreed to defend his seat, for him to seek governorship, but later changed his mind.
Awiti’s party is yet to announce whether it will support the National Super Alliance (NASA) or the Jubilee Party.
