According to Kioni, the Supreme Court decided to give the ruling without considering the people of Kenya who cast their votes on August 8th and made a decision of whom they prefer for the presidency.

Kioni believes the court should have called for a new recount of the votes cast on August 8th before coming making their ruling.

"We are pained by the Supreme Court ruling annulling President Kenyatta reelection. The ruling decided to ignore the numbers and it would have been fair if they called for a recount of all ballot cast. It is a fact that the people of Kenya preferred Uhuru Kenyatta over the other presidential candidates," said Kioni.

Appearing on NTV on Monday for an interview, the legislator further accused NASA of intimidating the Supreme Court for the ruling to fall their way.

"There is no doubt that the Supreme Court was intimidated by the NASA coalition for the ruling to go their way. In fact, it should be remembered that NASA leader Raila Odinga remarked that this was a chance for the Judiciary to redeem themselves. This was intimidation," added Kioni.

Kioni however affirmed that Jubilee is ready for the presidential elections within the set 60 days and NASA IEBC gimmicks will not affect the outlined schedule.
