Speaking Friday morning, Kuria said that on the run up to the last General Election, they spent a lot of time reaching out to parties they could work with.

“We wasted a lot of time looking to form political marriages in 2013. We do not want a repeat of this because we are intending to win the election by more than 60%. So, time factor is of much importance to us and we don't intend to lose it in negotiations,” said Kuria.

Kuria intimated that the new party puts them ahead of their rivals, who are yet to come clear on their 2017 strategy.

“CORD does not even know who will be their flag bearer, but for us, we have our 20 years map decided and drawn,” he added.

Kuria has also revealed that the Kajiado by-elections also informed the finalisation of the Jubilee Alliance Party.

“Our competitors wanted to divide our supporters along URP/TNA party lines to their advantage, a thing we could not allow,” said Kuria.
