Speaking on Thursday, Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir said that the tour will start after the former Prime Minister returns from South Africa where he is attending the burial of former South African President, the late Nelson Mandela's wife Winnie Madikizela Mandela.

"We are strong and we still stand strong," Nassir said in response to claims of a fallout in NASA following Raila's meeting with Uhuru.

"I spoke to my party leader and I was telling him that there is a need for us to start going around the country explaining to Kenyans what the handshake meant, which will be done very soon. You will see what is on the ground. We welcome everyone to be on board," he added.

Raila's March 9 meeting with Uhuru elicited mixed reactions from across the political divide with political analysts arguing that the opposition chief could be scheming for the 2022 politics.

The meeting also sent sharp divisions within NASA with the other co-principals- Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula asking why they were sidelined.

Mudavadi and Wetangula have since said they will dissolve their respective parties- ANC and Ford Kenya to form one party that will field a presidential candidate in 2022.
