Mvita MP Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir has refuted claims that Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho's health condition is in bad shape.
The lawmaker who is the governor's close ally said Joho was in good condition following reports that he had been admitted in a Mombasa hospital over Chikungunya.
Addressing journalists outside the Khaderboy Clinic at Makadara Grounds in Mombasa on Wednesday, Nassir indicated Joho was in good shape and out of hospital.
He said the governor was discharged from a private hospital where he had been admitted after falling ill, on Tuesday evening.
Nassir was at the clinic for a fact-finding tour of the 8 public health facilities in the county, with the aim of finding out the concerns, challenges, and areas of improvements in order to enhance accessibility and quality of health services in the constituency.
He checked on patients and affirmed his commitment to ensuring better healthcare across the county.
