Balambala MP Abdikadir Aden has trashed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s weekend campaigns in Garissa, Mandera, Wajir and Isiolo, saying the
campaigns were meaningless as residents are firmly and solidly in the National Super Alliance (NASA).
In an interview with the Daily Nation on Sunday, the ODM lawmaker said that North Eastern residents cannot be fooled and tricked to endorse President Kenyatta’s re-election bid in the August 8 general election.
Aden claimed that Jubilee regime has neglected the region and should back off the region.
“President Kenyatta and his Jubilee party will not get any votes from North Eastern no matter how many times they visit the region” he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
Aden said that the opposition will harvest 95 per cent of North Eastern votes on August 8.
The ODM MP accused some politicians allied to Jubilee Party of allegedly of inciting locals against the opposition.
Aden said that Jubilee party does not have an escape route and should prepare for terrible defeat on August 8.
He said that the Uhuru Kenyatta led government has not fulfilled the promises it made to Kenyans in 2013 and should forget about winning re-election
President Kenyatta staged campaigns in Northern Eastern counties over the weekend wooing local’s endorse his re-election bid.
The president cautioned locals against the opposition which he claimed has no agenda for the people.
NASA and Jubilee are fighting for the North Eastern votes with each coalition claiming to have massive support in the region.
Political analysts observe that North Eastern is a swing vote that will determine the winner of the August 8 presidential poll.
