The lawmaker said Nyamira County constituents are peace loving people and those who have ill intentions must be dealt with accordingly.

"Christmas is a time when people celebrate with their families and help the less fortunate in society. Any case of insecurity should be reported to authorities for action to be taken to ensure our people are at peace as they celebrate," said the legislator.

He asked Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru to order police intensify patrols along the border of Nyamira and Bomet counties to curb cattle rustling.

"More security officers should be deployed along the border to ensure there is zero livestock theft reported between the two counties," said Momanyi.

He appealed to members of the public living along the border to live in peace because ethnic clashes will derail development and cause deaths.
