Speaking during the event held in Jomvu, the legislator noted that the meeting was critical even though no school in the constituency has been hit by student unrest.

"Today I had an opportunity to meet all principals of high schools in Jomvu and Changamwe constituencies to discuss ways of preventing school fires being caused by students," said Badi on Friday.

"Although none of the schools in this area have experienced these fires, I thought it was important to discuss this issue so that we can avoid it, as prevention is better than cure," he added.
