Lagdera MP Mohamed Shidiye has reiterated that he together with his Aulihan community in Garissa County will support Jubilee in the August General Election.
Shidiye, who led some of the Garissa leaders who defected from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) said they were grateful to President Uhuru Kenyatta for hosting them at State House.
The politicians declared their support for the Jubilee government saying the Jubilee government has brought about such great development and they deserve to be in government come August 2017.
MP Shidiye said that his community in Garissa had resolved to support Uhuru's reelection during the August 8 general election.
“I am the only TNA MP in the North Eastern region. Am happy that I have been joined by my community in supporting Jubilee government,” he said.
“Currently, we have 80,000 votes in Garissa County which we have resolved to give you,” he added.
Also present in the meeting were Cabinet Secretary Adan Mohammed, IGAD Executive Secretary Mahboub Maalim, Former PS Abdulrazak Aden Ali among other leaders were also at the meeting.
Dadaab MP Mohamed Dahir Duale, Garissa county assembly speaker and three Members of Garissa County Assembly defected from ODM and joined Jubilee party.
