North Mugirango MP Charles Geni has termed ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi as a ‘fearful’ leader and dismissed his presidential ambitions.
Mudavadi on Monday claimed he was the best presidential candidate who can send the Jubilee administration home come 2017, thereby urging other opposition leaders to support him.
And on Tuesday in a telephone conversation with this writer, Geni said the Amani National Congress party leader had little backing across the country and dismissed his presidential ambitions as ‘night dreams’.
“It’s good for people to have ambitions and determination but Musalia is too fearful and cannot influence a population. He only rides on the shadow of other established politicians and time has come for him to fight alone rather than walking on the shadows of others,” he said.
“His ambitions are just but a night dream and cannot happen under the current voting dynamics. He cannot even influence his Western Kenya bloc because as the ODM, that has been our traditional stronghold,” he said.
Geni backed his party leader Raila Odinga for State House, lauding him as a ‘focused and honest’ politician with a strong backing across the country.
“Personally I believe that Raila can win an election because he has done that before. Musalia must know that we have two horses where he doesn’t feature anywhere,” he said.
