Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has rubbished claims that his party boss Kalonzo Musyoka intentionally planned to snub the late Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze’s burial.Makau said claims on social media that Kalonzo could have purposefully planned not to attend the burial of the late MP are false.Speaking to journalists after the burial of the late MP on Tuesday, Makau said that Kalonzo who is in Germany had planned to attend the burial but missed his plane.The MP said Nyenze was Kalonzo’s close confidant, adding that the Wiper leader could not have planned to miss his colleagues send off.The MP accused a section of politicians and some social media users of taking advantage of the situation to spread malice on social media.“People must learn to respect others and stop spreading tarnishing and malice propaganda in the name of politics,” he said.Kalonzo missed Nyenze’s burial at his Kyondoni home in Kitui County on Tuesday.The former Vice President (VP) who is tending to his ailing wife in Germany said he had planned to attend the burial but could not make it after his plane delayed.NASA leader Raila Odinga led mourners in sending off the late Nyenze who died two weeks ago after a long battle with colon cancer.President Uhuru Kenyatta who was also expected to attend the burial snubbed the event and instead sent National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale and Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko to represent him.
