Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has said that plans to swear in National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga are underway.

According to Daily Nation, the vocal lawmaker said that it is evident that the leaders of the opposition are divided on whether they should swear in the former Prime Minister, adding that they are waiting for official communication from the leaders of the party.

“I understand why not every single member may be fully in the picture because things are still at the planning stage. There is still time to concretise all this before December 12,” he told the Sunday Nation yesterday.

A leader, who spoke on anonymity, said that the plot to swear in Raila is likely to cost his stellar career.

He argued that it is clear the opposition’s victory was stolen but it might not be a good idea to swear in the opposition leader as suggested by some of the politicians.

“He is a reform hero admired far and wide. We will not allow him to squander such goodwill. It is true our victory was stolen but this is not the way we want to go,” said Raila’s ally
