The residents of Gatundu South will have a reason to smile after area MP Moses Kuria has expedite the approval of the construction of Gatundu Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) by the national government.
This comes after the National government under Ministry of Education was reluctant to approve the construction of the school due to lack of resources to run and the area MP followed up the matter.
Kuria who was speaking on Thursday in Githaruru in his constituency said that in partnership with Gatundu South Constituency Development Fund (CDF) he will sponsor atleast hundred students to study various courses in Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) by paying their tuition fee as they wait for the establishment of GIST.
He said that he is committed in improving the education in his constituency and in partnership with the county government of Kiambu he will ensure students in Gatundu South have all the resources and tool of trade for education.
Kuria said that education for the young brilliant youths is really needed towards achieving vision 2030 and the youths who are the leaders of tomorrow should embrace education at all given cost.
The MP has urged residents to be calm as they embark on the project of construction of the college for the Gatundu Family to have an upper hand in education in the school that will boost their career and create employment as well in the region.
The TNA legislator has lauded the county government of Kiambu governor William Kabogo for the support in expediting the approval of the school and urged residents to embrace a working leader like the governor.
