Kesses Member of Parliament Swarup Kiprop Mishra has urged Constituency Development Fund (CDF) officials to ensure funds allocated to projects are put to good use.

He said the officials should embrace transparency and accountability of every single cent at their disposal.

"I want to ensure that public funds are utilized in a good manner and anyone who will steal public funds will be shown the door, arrested and charge on the same. I will not work with thieves," he said at the constituency headquarters, Thursday.

"Before any project is started we will scrutinize and vet it to ensure it is really needed by the public before it started. We don't want to have a situation where we have white elephant projects," he added.

He, however, urged Kenyans to maintain peace and warned opposition leaders against swearing in Raila Odinga as the people's president terming it as unconstitutional.

“I want to urge opposition leaders to stop such plans since it will divide the country further instead they should respect president Uhuru Kenyatta since he is the legally elected president,” noted Mishra.
