Former Kitui Governor Julius Malombe has been told to accept the court's ruling and move on.
Addressing journalists at his office in Kitui town on Saturday, Kitui Central MP Benson Mulu said Malombe should accept that Kitui gubernatorial seat is a lost course and give the incumbent a chance to develop the county.
He said Malombe should not appeal the High Court ruling arguing that he will still lose.
“Malombe should stop wasting time and give Governor Charity Ngilu ample time to deliver to the people,"
Mulu said the former governor should instead focus on the next election which is four years away instead of wasting time with petitions.
“2022 is not far, you should go back to the drawing board and know where you went wrong and rectify. You can't force yourself on people who opted to vote you out," Mulu said.
He congratulated Ngilu for winning the petition in which the court confirmed that she was legally elected on August 8, 2017.
