Keses Member of Parliament Swarup Mishra has urged Kenyans not to participate in NASA's Monday and Friday demonstrations against IEBC officials.

He said  the opposition leaders should use constitutional means in their quest to push for changes at the electoral commission rather than going to the streets.

"Raila should swallow his pride and put the interest of this country first since Kenyans are suffering. Our economy has been sabotaged due to his threats," he said at Eldoret Polytechnic, Monday.

"Their aim is to push the country into chaos. They are aware they will loose the October 26th presidential elections that is why they are panicking. As Jubilee Party leaders we won't allow Kenyans to shed blood for their selfish reasons," he added.

He, however, urged Kenyans to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's bid by voting for him in the forthcoming election.

"Under jubilee government roads have been constructed, electricity connected to several homes, our children have gone to school, surely he deserves a second term," noted Mishra.

The Kesses MP called upon Kenyans to maintain peace before, during and after the October 17 presidential election.
