Kikuyu Township lawmaker Kimani Ichung'wa has told off a section of Mt Kenya leaders for calling for dialogue between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader. On Sunday, former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo and Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua asked the two political leaders to hold talks over the repeat election stalemate.“We are so much concerned about the current state of affairs in this country. It is time Uhuru and Raila sit down and resolve the currentpolitical impasse that may plunge our country into chaos. It is only dialogue that will save us and not chest thumping," said Kabogo, who was also accompanied by for Mukurwe-ini MP Kabando Wa Kabando and Kajiado ex-senator Peter Mositet. But speaking during an interview with Kameme FM on Monday morning, Ichung'wa termed the leaders as NASA sympathisers ruling out any talks with the Opposition."These are leaders who lost in the last elections. Who are they speaking for? Any talks with Raila is only through the ballot," he said. The MP further accused NASA leader of planning to cause violence and chaos in the country to force a coalition government with President Kenyatta."The ongoing protests by NASA supporters is a scheme by Raila to make the country ungovernable so they can share power with Uhuru. Am telling him his intentions are doomed," Ichung'wa added.
