Mburu said that the Jubilee coalition has been committed to devolution from the start and is determined to see it to the end.

Speaking while on a tour in his constituency on Wednesday, the legislator warned those who are calling for the referendum saying they should concentrate on development first.

"There has been no other government before that has ever released money to the people than President Uhuru's. What more money are they asking for if they cannot account the one they have,",said Mburu.

Mburu went further to criticise the Kiambu County leadership and how they have misappropriated funds without accounting for all the money.

"The MCAs and the governor here have initiated various projects in the county which is alright. But the problem is that the projects have been turned into money minting machines and thus a lot of public money ending into people's pockets," said the MP.

Mburu's Lari constituency is said to have the worst roads in Kiambu County.
