Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has told NASA leader Raila Odinga not to be compromised by the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and himself to overlook corruption issues.
Mule said the handshake should not be used to burry graft in the country.
He urged the leaders to instead join hands in eliminating corruption.
"I know Raila you have Joined President Uhuru. I have no issue with that, but I hope your judgment won't be compromised in the fight against graft which has posed a challenge to the country," Mule said.
The Wiper MP spoke during the Madaraka Day celebrations at Kisukioni in Machakos County on Friday.
He urged Kenyatta to ensure stringent measures are taken against culprits of the Sh9 billion National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.
"Graft is being unearthed in various institutions from day to day, no stone should be left unturned in the fight against graft. Anyone found culpable should serve as an example," Mule said.
Mule said the handshake would be meaningless without proper measures to redeem the country from the fangs of the graft.
He said the unity and reconciliation of the top leaders should help in bringing the country back to its feet.
